The hotel is newly renovated, taking inspiration from 60s and 70s design, keeping its authentic charm. Every effort has been made to minimise the impact on the environment, with an eco-responsible approach to luxury and the implementation of measures to reduce the carbon footprint, such as using vintage and recycled furniture, and local food sourcing, etc.

The mountain reigns supreme while all activities are just a stone’s throw away – the Grand Tourmalet ski slopes, cable car to the Pic du Midi, dog-sled rides, skiing, snowshoeing, walking or cycling… There’s something for everyone, both winter and summer. The magnificent vista is visible from the friendly Milky Way restaurant and the bow windows and balconies of every guest room – even from your bed!

Restaurant, bar and tea room
The Milky Way restaurant offers a diverse breakfast buffet in the morning. For lunch you can taste the daily specials prepared by our chef. In the afternoon, the tea room serves hotel guests and visitors hot and cold drinks. Foodies can feast on homemade pastries, waffles or pancakes. At the end of the day, enjoy cocktails and aperitif boards with top-quality local products – perfect to kick off the evening and continue it with a meal by the fire. Every day for your lunches and dinners, the chef offers soups, savory tarts and daily specials. On Sundays, come and enjoy our brunch.

Named Étoile du Berger (Shepherd’s Star or Venus), Galaxie, Constellation and Grande Ourse (The Plough or Big Dipper), our rooms inspire you to explore the skies, while offering the comfort and luxury of a 4-star hotel. On your own, with family or friends, you’ll feel right at home in your sweet mountain refuge. All our rooms have beautiful bedding, a large TV, a mini-bar, a safe and coffee and tea-making facilities.

The 2nd floor is dedicated to relaxation and we welcome you throughout the day for a pure moment of well-being and tranquillity. Treat yourself to some relaxation after a day of skiing or hiking, and abandon your sore muscles to our care. Enjoy the sauna or the soothing virtues of hot water in one of our hot tubs on the outdoor terrace.
The ski area
Skiing without borders
The Grand Tourmalet ski resort, a combination of the La Mongie and Barèges resorts, is the largest skiing area in the French Pyrenees. As you exit the hotel, you’re close to over 100 km of slopes, one of the most beautiful freeride descents in the world (the Pic du Midi), and one of the largest playgrounds for skiing and snowboarding. You are guaranteed to never be bored!
